The American Cancer Society 'Walk For Life' takes place at Hayward Field in Eugene evry year on July 30-31. The event kicks off at noon on the 30th and features many teams representing local businesses and groups. Teams are given a baton and the object is for a member of each team to walk for a hour and pass on the baton , keeping this up for 24 hours. All money raised by this event goes to the American Cancer Society.
